College Station bike / hike caching

For anyone who likes caching on bicycle (or hiking for that matter), Lick Creek Park in College Station is very enjoyable. There are about 15 or so caches in the park and all of them were there (though some were in better shape than others). There are a couple of letterboxes, several ammo cans, numerous regular sized containers, and evil a couple of semi-evil hides. It was a great bike ride with most of the paths being nice gravel ones....although a few of the caches required taking smaller, less-traveled trails that weren't gravel. Very dog-friendly park, too. Just thought I'd let anyone know who hadn't been up there before. It starts around GC44X3N. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and we were able to do the "A.P.G.Not Your Typical Bison Trail" series afterward (it's along the road leading to the park).

What the heck? When/where did that happen?

I did some caches in that park many years ago.  I remember a lot of bushwacking.  I guess they've put some trails in, now.

Maybe it's time to visit again.

Would you believe it happened in the parking garage beneath our apartment building :tickedoff: ? We had them both chained & U-Bolt locked to a big 1 inch steel fence and still they managed to pry them open..... Our leasing agent told us Bicycles are the 'hot commodity' in the Houston area right now, and these guys use car-jacks to crack the locks......

It happened while we were on our honeymoon, but I don't think it would've made a difference if we would've been at home. They probably sneak in either during the daytime when everyone is working, or at night when everyone is asleep.

Kinda had me wondering why they don't have camera's......  :knuppel2:

Major bummer. Sure sorry about that. Sometimes my neighbors disappoint me tremendously. I do hope you can get replacements soon as the weather warms.

Dutch folks without bicycles are like Hula girls without grass skirts, Baytown Bert without a camera, or Houston Control without a Cadillac! :D

I'll be the opposite of politically correct and say an eye for an eye on this robbery thing.
