How cool is this story?!?

The guys that found 4.5lb Walleye posted a thread on gc.com before they made the trip. It was actually pretty cool because they used a Spot device to send their location so that others could watch their movements. I'm wanting to say that i read somewhere that they were on the water for close to a week before they even got to ground zero. An awesome adventure for sure.

The CO must've been thrilled to finally get a log notification. 12years ! Good thing the coords were good, and it wasn't "muggled" ;)

Here is another cache in Canada that has not been found – since 8/18/07.  I’ve met the cache owner before – he placed it on while on a fly fishing trip.  I’ve been toying with the idea of taking a fishing trip up there to find it next summer.

Looking at the far reaches of the Aleutian chain, I've found a few interesting things:

There are four other caches on Adak besides the Mt. Moffett Summit I linked to above, and only one has ever been found.

This Cache is the only one in the 50 states of the USA with an EASTERN Longitude.

There is NOT a cache in Dutch Harbor called "The Deadliest Cache", however there IS one in Akutan  http://coord.info/GC3V3D9

Round trip to Adak from Houston is only $2300.  Who's with me?

Two thoughts:

1.  The container looks like one of those cheap plastic school boxes so it is amazing that it was in such good shape.

2.  A bug jacket like Gordy's would have been nice a few weeks ago when we were caching in Minnesota - skeeters are horrendous up there.
