Geocaching Tag-A-Long Houston

10 posts in this topic

After my recent move to Houston I realized that Caching in Texas would be a bit different from caching at home (the Netherlands, Europe).

As I would love to get to know my way around & avoid reinventing the wheel all over again, I would like to tag-a-long on weekdays with a local to find some great caches & share the fun.

If anyone is interested, just send me a message.

Greetings,

Dhaulaghiri

Welcome to Houston. What type of cashing are you interested in starting with. There are great places ranging from urban walking tours to cycling trails to all day bushwhacking through dense brush. All within a relativity short drive.

Indeed, I already attended the 3G event, seemed a good way to get to know the locals & I intend to go to the UFO event wednesday as well.

For now me & my wife are staying in a Hotel right along the Katy FWY, but we will move to the Fairmont Museum District at Dunlavy St. next week.

As for the type of caching: I don't really have that much of preference, one day I like to rack up the numbers, the next day might be a good one for some puzzles (althoug I'm not always able to solve them easily).

What I (and when my wife joins me) like most about caching is the opportunity it provides you with to see things you'd otherwise probably never would've seen. Especially when you move to a new area, or when you go on day-trips/holidays.

So anyone interested in a day (or couple of hours worth) of caching, and with a good idea, just send me an PM or mail me at:

See y'all!

Hans
