After the awards ceremony, Bigguy in Texas, came to thank us for winning with class.  We replied that "We were so SHOCKED that they didn't call out our team name that we were speechless."

We won, WE WON!!!!!!

I liked the way Stone Swivel announced the winners.  He would state the *highest* finders and then announce the winners.  When they got to bronze, and we did not get bronze I *high-fived* Kirbydox, knew we had silver or better.  Then when stone swivel announced the highest point earners for second place, which were not members of our team, that was the hint that, we had won.  We all just sat there, with our jaws opened, the team had come through......

I wanted all of us to go and accept the Gold Ammocan, just like they do at the Academy Awards for *Best Movie*.  I thank the team for allowing me to get the gold ammocan and be their captain.... and yes....we did have alot of class!!!!

Good job guys, I am still on Cloud 9....

Day light savings time starts tonight, springing ahead an hour.
Best way to handle it? Keep on partying and celebrating all night long!
Savor your victory!

Heh, the work "Geocache", or any of it's derivatives were never said in that report. Just thought that was rather funny.

Good job on the win, SETX! I do wish I could have gone as it sounded like fun. I had to go hang out with my fellow Bearkats today, as we advanced to the NCAA tournament!

I was standing behind up top by the fence watching the crowd.
The look on NTX faces was priceless cause we've been there so many times but watching our group when we figured out the winner was peaceful, heart warming, and so long over due.
It was just nice to see our group so happy and jovial and it was done with respect and class.
Say what you will but there is something special about SETX. We are unlike any other.

On a level playing field we proved our worth in GOLD.  :)

Jason, for a man of very few words, you said a Bible's worth!!  It even brought a tiny tear to my eye.  Thanks for the heartwarming observation!  O0

Just got in from our weeklong expedition to San Angelo.  Apparently, I need a better navigator!

How NOT to get to and from San Angelo:   :2funny:

Larry, I'll bet our route looks crazier than yours.  It would be interesting to see. We added 35 new counties.   We had a great time. Unfortunately, I'm now playing catch up at work. I think paid vacation is a myth.
