The bison burgers can be a little dry so we HAD to have a beer to offset the dryness!! >:D

I'm bringing two geocaching movies up with me..."Find Me", which is  a 2 of 5 star movie at best, and "Splinterheads", which was written up in Geocaching forums.  So if anybody has a laptop or DVD player we can watch these and laugh.  But that's assuming we have time between the events, challenge itself, and individual caching in the park.

If anyone has a copy of "GPS, the Movie", bring it.    That should get a few more laughs.  Oh yeah.  There's a really cool song that goes with it.

I have GPS, The Movie on DVD.  Of course, I also have a copy of the riveting Documentary Geocache, where some hayseed declares that he makes "oil, gas and petrochemicals"...  ::)

Splinterheads was shown last year at Geowoodstock. Not really a movie for kids, but sometimes funny. Geocaching was in it just for a bit, but it wasn't a major part of the movie.

BullsEye and I plan to attend but we are supposed to close on our house this week.  O0 *crossing fingers*  We aren't planning to compete this year but are more than happy to help any other ways you guys need. Drop offs, pickups, helping with puzzles... etc

Just keep caching, caching, caching... just keep caching; cache. cache. cache.

My coworker was staying at the Four Seasons in Vancouver this week adn I joined her for dinner one evening.  I had bison meatballs in a pasta dish.  She had risotto.

I wish I had the risotto, but at least I had good beer to go with the meatballs!

I was trying to figure out what this had to do with the Texas Challenge, but then I read back a page or so.  :D

Me too.
Having said that, the last bison burger I ate was in Banff, Alberta.  It was pretty dry, too.  That was late 2004.  I haven't tried another since.

Saturday -- Sunny, high of 67 (low of 37 -- Brrrrrrr!)

WINDS:
Friday = 19mph
Saturday = 12 mph
Sunday = 15 mph

Is kite-fighting a part of the competition?
