As far as I can remember, when I set up this cache, GZ is inside the fence for El Franko Lee Park about 30-40'. There is a long walking path to GZ back in that area that may be overgrown and not maintained. Its been years since I've been back there. I recalled seeing the turnaround area for the school from GZ on the other side of the fence and smiled how many cachers would try to locate the cache from the school property. The map you provided shows dotted lines showing where the fence/border is located. All of the construction is on the school property. GZ is Nortlhwest of the turnaround area behind the fence. If I can get back in there to the turnaround area by a vehicle in the next week or so, I will review the area with my GPS and see what construction is going on back there. I will NOT attempt to hike, walk or anything from the Park side.
Can someone on the SE side tell me what they know about the construction over there? I have found a plan that appears to stomp all over one of my caches. I think I might have to move it a fair distance if that is even possible without conflicting on other cache hides. See the attached file. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for volunteers to help develop and man the Activity Caches we will have along the race course during the Challenge. The activities be a great deal of fun for everyone involved and a good chance to meet cachers from all over. BTW, there will be a celebratory event for the team a couple of weeks after the Challenge! Let me know if you're interested.
