Daniel Clementi Funeral Notice

Daniel-Clementi1a_zpsc8fdf992.jpg

Daniel was 20 yrs old, he graduated Clear Lake HS in 2012 and enlisted in the Navy in May 2013.

He did well in boot camp in Great Lakes Il and went to "A" school in Richmond, VA to learn the culinary arts. He graduated with honors and was a petty officer 3 when he went to his ship the Jason Dunham, DDG-109, a guided missile destroyer in the Eisenhower escort group in Norfolk, VA in Sept 2013. He worked in the ship's galley, cooking meals for the ~240 shipmates, ordering food, and supervising a group of 4-5 seamen.

They were scheduled for a long-term deployment in Dec 2014 and would test systems and repairs by going out on 1-2 week short trips a few hundred miles off-shore to test the radars, radios, etc.

They had just come back from a two week deployment when Daniel was found on his ship on 3/14/2014.

He was brought back to Houston on 3/21/2014 and there will be a public service at Forest Park East 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598 from 1-4 on Fri 3/28, followed by a funeral mass it St Claire's of Assisi church, 3131 El Dorado, Hou TX 77059 at 6pm

Thanks for your help and support in this Bert, you are a good friend and we are in a very painful brotherhood. Thank you, BBQBob2.

Bob has been carrying this burden silently since the 14th and with his own health issues, he and his wonderful wife are very broken.  It breaks my heart, as I experienced the same thing and they have a very difficult road ahead of them.

Bob, I can't even begin to grasp the depth of heartache and pain that your family has experienced with this loss. My heart and prayers go out to you, brother. If there is anything...anything at all...that our family can do for yours, please let me know. Blessings to you and yours, Bob.

Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and support, my geocaching family. As Bert says it will be a hard road, but we will hang together as we say good-by to our Daniel, who was a monkey of a tree-climber and helped on a few finds. He was reluctant but a trip to DQ afterwards was a good persuader. I love that boy.
