For all of you out there with dogs that are trackable. Is there a trackable icon just for dogs? If so where do you get a number? We have a new addition to our family.

Our dog is trackable and we got the tag from gc.com online store. For their "log my dog" tag it does have it's own icon. I do say that the tag is cheap and the wording and design on it rubbed off within a month so now I just tape a notecard with her number to her backpack when we go out.

Also, congrats on the new addition! I submitted an event for this month so that all of us with geodogs can get together but PR declined it so maybe I can 're word' some things on the page and resubmit.

Curious what his rationale was, having had a few dog events myself.

And congrats, Steve, on the GeoDog!

My GeoDog, Lexi, had this one. My advice is to make sure the number is engraved.  The tags rubbing together quickly rubbed the number off back of this one, too.  I think it was originally a Cahekinz tag.

Saw this one while looking for the other.  http://shop.geostuff...ilver-and-black

There is a park that had a few caches and I was going to place some more and have a dog event there to get them. But also that day was a dog event not GC related so because of that he said not approved. I am confused because I have attended events in the past in this same setting...

You gotta make it look like the gc event is the only thing going on.  You can't make a CITO at a Trash Bash event.  Or.  Can you?  8)

So this tag has it's own "doggie" icon?

Yes, it looks just like the dog on the tag4611.gif  <---- That is what the icon looks like. At least that is what my "Log my Dog" tag icon looks like and I have that very same one you linked above.

That's the same tag my dog Chloe has.  I had to remove it from her collar because the hole was wearing larger and the outer edge next to the hole was looking thin.  It turns out she doesn't like to geocache anywhere that the brush is taller than her short legs, but a dog park event would be right up her alley.
