For anyone who doesn't have notifications set up for events, or whose notifications don't cover the NW side of Houston, note the following event:

The event is on a Sunday afternoon to provide an opportunity for folks to attend who have challenges making the weekday evening events. It would be great to have a good cross-section of Houston area geocacher presence to greet this guy and his family and show them some good southern hospitality. Hope to see y'all there.

i'd make the trek up there, but powerdog02 and i have scouts in the afternoon and wouldn't make it in time.  i know he'd love to meet a german cacher and trade a travel bug or two.

TW flew to Germany for an FTF opportunity and beat Alexander the great by a mere 30 seconds!!  So to make it up to him, he offered to host an event in Houston!!

He was preparing for his trip over here and started poking around on the cache map. He came across my Warriors 048 - Alexander the Great cache (which is basically his caching name) and he reached out for general info on Houston-area caching, etc. We swapped several emails and an event was born. Haven't met him yet.

The NW side isn't exactly teeming with German restaurants that are geo-accommodating. Fuddrucker's over here is, so that made it an acceptable choice. You're welcome to smuggle in some German beer and potato salad if you want.
