1) why are they just announcing this the week before when it is too late to plan an event? Did I just miss it until now?

2) who wants to plan an event???

I think it's stupid to do 31 souvenirs and it dilutes the whole idea of them.  That was my first thought when I heard about this and nothing has changed.  Wait!  LOL  Is this one souvey for 31 days in a row?  My bad!

it's probably too late to get the event published for Saturday, but who knows?  R5 - we could do a trip to tx city for that one park with the giant sculptures...  it's also supposed to be 100 deg on Saturday.

I can't wait to go.  was on my pre-surgery list of places to take my red headed sidekick this summer.  think a crazy lady could manage it in the heat while off-balance with one arm?

It's a big place with easy caches.  Good shoes.

No, the way that I read it is 32 souvenirs.  One on for a smiley or attended on July 17th, and one for each day in August.  I wonder if there will be a special souvenir if you do all 31 days in August.

yeah, had a series of 29 publish just a couple of miles from my house (less than 3).  Think I'm going to use that for the August souvenir thing.   And, if I recall, there is a challenge that requires you to have ?? 20 different souvenir types. Looks like someone could get more than enough in August alone!!

Personally, if the GC folks got off their butts and made souvenirs for all of the countries that have caches hidden in them, I'd be much closer than I am at this moment!   When do you think they'll get around to designing the Bahama's, Panama, Costa Rica and Guatemala?  Probably no time soon.  :(

Cheers, my friends!

now it's on the "to do" list!  :)

I have a zero chance of getting a cache a day in August, having a 20 mile kill zone almost devoid of new caches.

BB - I can place some new caches for you in August if you will maintain them!  ;) I think I still have a few of the containers you gave me at the CITO event.

Thanks, but no thanks.  :)  For a moment I thought I would go out and find 31 caches and log them one day at a time and then I scolded myself.  :uglystupid2:

Bert, Open an account for your beautiful bride, hide LPC P and G caches under it (using names that you need to complete other challenges) then find them as you need them. After your find the next needs maintenance gets them archived. That seems to work for one of our local cachers who is challenge addicted!

This is the cache that I am very excited to get:

Souvenir Challenge by Cachestacker:

http://www.geocachin...de-96e98a2360af

I just need *1* and I can officially log the cache.  If you have signed this challenge and are lacking a few souvenirs, this is a great time get to *50*.

What confuses me, is that the app on the iPhone states I have 51 souvenirs, yet when I look up on my *statistics* I see 49.  Anywho, either way I will be able to complete the challenge...Yay!

I have been referring to the TXGA site.  They have begun organizing caches by weeks so one can go to the site and see what is happening in the area and all over Texas for the week.  Nice addition to the site.

You forgot to tell Bert to not date the LOGS so he can use what ever cache for what ever date even if all found on the same date.
