On May 20, 2013 at 1:56 am, Baytown police officers responded to the intersection of Laredo and Chesapeake in reference to shots fired. The caller told police he heard several gunshots and saw a male lying in the middle of the street. Upon arrival, police discovered the body of a 67 year old man who had been shot numerous times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A silver or gray colored four door vehicle was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed. Detectives need to speak with an unidentified caucasian male with a beard as well as the two Hispanic males seen in this video:
Kenny, I find myself grabbing my .44 Bulldog more often lately. What really made it sink in is when we were up around New Caney caching in the woods and I saw another cacher's concealed carry. I never thought to grab mine out there, but he was smarter and better prepared than it. Baytown has had a rash of *criminal men doing armed robberies. Way more than what is considered normal and in random, seemingly innocuous places, like beside BRAWNDO 3. For now, I will carry, even when it appears to be a safe place.
*According to video surveillance it is basically one ethnicity.
