The screen resolution changed when I turned on my computer. It took me awhile to figure out what happened. It turned out to be a monitor cable that was loose enough to not allow the video card to detect the monitor. I accidentally discovered it by moving the monitor to read the model number and the monitor turned off. I noticed that the monitor would not display and I checked the cable and it had fallen off. This time I reconnected it and screwed it into the monitor and ran the monitor detect for Windows 7 and the correct resolution was detected and all it well.:)
