Well while searching for info on my new GPS I purchased for kayaking, I stumbled across geocaching. At first I was amazed at how many hidden treasures were in my general area and decided to give it a try. After watching alot of his videos I decided to go for BaytownBert (GC2KQP3) and set off on my journey. After making my way through the thorns and woods I located the cache and was instantly hooked. I found 11 more that first day.The next day I took my 8 year old daughter out with me and had a great time doing the village grove bike trail series and she can't wait for our next hunt. Looking forward to hitting the all the CLAPS caches as one of my other activities is kayaking and I have paddled that area many times. On GC I go by arc-flash and hope to see yall on the trail or on the water.

Hey welcome!  I work by the Monument.  There are a dozen os so right here that y'all can look for and get a little history too.  BTW, is your login name Arc-Flash?

Welcome to Deer Park and geocaching.  There are several cachers in the Deer Park/La Porte area.

If you stop by GC2G6KZ, WELCOME TO MY PARLOR, TOO and see a blue mini-van in the driveway, come to the door and ring the door bell and I will step outside and introduce myself to you.  The cache is in my front yard with my permission and owned by ATMA.

We'll talk about upcoming meet and greet Events in the local area including GC48TBA, BB's GEOCACHING 101 WORKSHOP & EVENT  by BAYTOWNBERT coming May 19 in Baytown.

Thanks for the welcome. I was looking into coming to the GC48TBA event but being a shift worker I will be on nights and unable to attend but will keep looking for another event that I can be at.

And yes BaytownBert my login is Acr-Flash.

Welcome aboard!  We're redoing the CLAPS caches.  The ones south of Bay Area are available for while.  The ones north of Bay Area are down for now but will be coming out soon.  :)  You'll enjoy combining your new hobby with the old.  Hope to see you on the trails or at an event sometime.

I hope there is a mash-up for the FTF run on the new series.

Welcome to geocaching and don't let BaytownBert videos jade you on the activity.  He takes a bit of "artistic license" with the difficulty of some of them... and we really don't curse AaronBarbee at every turn!
