FYI.....Thanks to James Singleton aka Sticks for this info.  Only a few caches could be affected.  This area is mostly off limits due to the woodpecker.

CONROE, Texas — Texas A&M Forest Service will be conducting
prescribed burning operations at the Jones State Forest this week on
Tuesday, March 26 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

" This area is mostly off limits due to the woodpecker."

This sentence intrigues me. Is there some kind of man-eating bird or something there? Is that why they're gonna roast the peckers?

The woodpecker there is an endangered species.  They clear out the area from time to time for the woodpecker.  They usually fly away while the forest is on fire.

Perhaps that's why they're endangered?
