Hope everyone is ready for a great paddle -- and last opportunity to get CLAPS III.

Those of you doing CLAPS IV -- it's back in order and ready for finders.

If it's even half as nice as today, it's going to be fantastic.

Don't forget hat, water, sunblock, and lots of water.

A better day could not be had for paddling.  Hope some of you land lubbers come out on the water next time!

Great pics  .... BB and I saw 4 gators bunch of turtles and as I was about to pick up a bottle about 2 feet away was a snake, so I left the bottle.  Had a shrimp looking think jump in my yak.

After BB left me at the park and I went on to get CLAPS II I saw 2 more gators.

BB was a gentleman,  he didn't fart once :crazy2:

Had a a blast today.  Raven and I saw about 8 gators.  It was awesome and my most faved CLAPS CITO.  We saw a few gators near CLAPS II.  Raven was trying to get a pic until that huge gator decided to come into the water and see what Raven was doing close up.  We then headed to CLAPS 4 and strated grabbing caches.  We saw some pretty big gators, onc (small gator) close to a cache, about 50 feet away, just staring at us.

All I can say is I loved every *aching, sunburned* bit of it!

Thanks Kevin!!

I can't imagine Kevin's commitment to take down an entire series on the water and place new ones for all of us.  Whew!  Brutal, but well appreciated!  Three thumbs up to Cachestacker!"

Is the picture of the snake one snake or 2?   All of those alligators would have freaked me out.

Ha.  It's two.  Both went into that hole in the tree.  There is probably a whole nest.  IMHO, the tree needs to be cut down and burned.  But.... we let 'em be, and just hope the gators get 'em eventually.

Seems eveyone saw some gators no matter which direction they went.   You'd have loved it.  ;)

In the first picture of the snake it looks like there is a really small baby snake either coming or going out of that hole.
Is that the second snake that you're referring to?

The first one in that pic is 3/4 of the way in.  The 2nd snake (the one you can see it's head) went in right behind it.

Actually Kevin enlisted the only person on the water not to do any of the CLAPS to grab them.  We had a blast and lots of thanks to the 4 different CO's of CLAPS.  You have put out and maintained a great group of caches.

My son was excited about all the gators we spotted all day long.

I question my sanity.  :uglystupid2:   Actually, it's great to get out and paddle now that the north winds have stopped and things are back to normal.  The bayous are beautiful now with spring and all the shades of green that are out there.  And this is the perfect excuse to be back on the water more.

But I'm not doing it alone.  Kirbydox talked me into it, and so she's being forced to assist re-doing it.  So you can thank me for the fun ones and clever ones and easy-to-get-ones.  And you can curse her for the rest.  :2funny:

Actually, we have some very cool things coming up.  And whenever it comes out you'll have fun going over old territory in a new way.
