Spotted this one near our Steinhagen Stash cache. Only about 10 inches log but he was a fiesty little fellow.

I saw 2 baby cotton tails and a herd of antelope today!

Cotton tails are much nicer than cottonmouths.

We saw a dead ring-tail cat today.  I wanted to stop and get a photo, as it was fresh and didn't appear to be damaged, but the traffic behind me pushed us forward.  We hike almost 8 long hot miles and got one traditional and 2 earth caches.  The 2nd one was worth the trip.  GC5HMQD  The short parking lot was full and we had to park a ways off, which turned out to be a great blessing.  It was maybe the most beautiful hike I've ever been on.

Two instances of critters seen today.

The first was a pod of webworms (ewww!)

It looks like you were shooting from above.  If so, how did  you do that?

 

 

Thot, the bag of webworms was in a small tree about 4 feet off the ground.  

When I uploaded the picture, I had to crop off some of the background to make it smaller size, to get under the load limits.
