I'll remind everyone that the sign up webpage included an agreement to drop the coin in a cache within 10 days. Didn't say anything about proxies or event discoverables....

We got ours. It is tempting to keep it. Maybe a proxy is a good idea.

Maybe we can get GXProxy to make Proxies for the coin....just sayin.......

I doubt I will get a coin, but I know we have to move them because one of the requirements is to take a picture of the coin to win 1 of 14 autographed John Grisham books. So they really have to move. If proxies show up, there will be an outrage....

I'm not entering any pictures (if I ever get a coin). The fine print says one loses all rights (creative and copyrights) to any photos submitted. I don't want a gold bar or autographed book badly enough to give up my rights to my creative property. Moving the coin is all I agreed to. Entering the contest is optional.

I was going to keep mine, but there is a black sedan setting at the curb every night with two men in it watching my house... Oh wait, that's just a couple of drug dealers, my bad.

I've never sold a picture I've taken for as much as a penny, but if they want to give me $1750.00 for one (the current price for an ounce of gold), I'd probably go along. ::)

I found a new cache (that is, new to me) that was big enough for a travel bug, so I dropped it off. :coolsmiley: And the good news for you is that you haven't found it yet... O0

I never really signed up for a coin, but did go to the site posted above. I was very surprised yesterday when a coin showed up in my mailbox. :)

I dropped mine in a cache, and I picked them back up. I figure that counts, and the main idea is that the get seen by fellow cachers. I think taking them to events will show more people. And if JG wants to come bang on my door and demand them back, well then he can do so.

My Racketeers Local 999.9 event just published! http://coord.info/GC3YWY0

Let's get as many coins there as possible and do some photo ops! If you have a "racketeerish" hat, bring it for the photo.

If you need to get your coin into a cache within the 10 days after receiving it, you can drop it in this event. Leave it there or grab it back to get some miles before the event.

November 3rd
Beck's Prime
1822 Texas 6
Sugar Land, Texas 77478
6PM to 9PM

Snoogans, can you post the picture (here or on the event page) you took Monday of all the coins at the BreakCache event?
