Here's a plug for an upcoming event in Bear Creek Park on October 6th:

http://www.geocachin...1e-e3315cbf2f2b

It's a fun game with a little soccer, rugby, basketball and dodgeball mixed in together. And after awhile you don't even notice the broomsticks. There will be a bunch of college teams playing in a round-robin tournament from 9AM to about 6PM. My daughter Beth plays for Texas State, so I'll be supporting the maroon and gold Bobqats.

Stop in any time, enjoy the games and say Hi!

I'm never sure what team Sheldon is on, but if it's "Us and Them" or "Shirts and Skins"
I'd vote for "Them" and definitely for "Shirts"

Bump for the event this weekend, 10 to 6 on Saturday Oct 6th in Bear Creek Park.
Should be good weather and a good time. Facebook lists the address as
3535 War Memorial Drive, which is a bit south of the events coords, but we'll be pretty close.

Here's the schedule, with play on 3 pitches:

Look for the maroon and gold, and Go Bobqats!

Does anyone know the outcome of the tournament? I was wondering who won and how Texas A&M did.

I heard A&M made a great comeback in the last quarter. Led by a freshman quarterback in very impressive style. Oh wait, that's a real sport.

Uh, in this thing y'all are talking about, I'm willing to bet that A&M ..... wait for it ...... SWEPT the competition!

A&M beat Baylor in the semi and beat LSU to win the final, 120-90, Kathy. Thanks for coming to the event.

Whoop! Thanks for letting me know. Now I wish we'd come back, but we were hot and tired so we just ended up going home and taking a nap.

Good news for you A&M fans out there, Kathy - we went to a tournament in San Marcos this weekend to see Beth play and A&M won again!
Texas State came in third and Baylor was second. Temps were about 30 deg cooler than the day in Bear Creek!
