Thanks.  I'd really like to thank Kirbydox for all her help on the entire series.  HC for the great Wherigo on the Water (already 11 favorites and not that many finds (hey- what's up with the rest of you who didn't favorite that -- how many WIGs on the water have you gotten?)).  Thanks also goes to TheBicycler for the Horsepen Bayou caches and some short notice maintenance items he had handled and continues to handle for all us.  And Rich & Lola for a really nice D/T combo that most of you will really earn unless you hit the tide and conditions just right.  There's no timing that... it's luck.

Bring your phone or cameras.  Take photos.  Post them, too!  Pick up some new types, new sizes, and go to some new places in the bayou and on the lake.  Enjoy it out there.

It's group effort to keep it up and running.  Thanks, again, to all the other COs in the series for there help and maintenance.

#9 N CLAPS is NOT a sandwich box.  If you go out, please remove it.  And find the real one.  Will get out as soon as I can to fix it.

I went looking for good CLAPS / Gator photos and couldn't find 'em.

Kevin, can you suggest a particular cache that has the most?

I'd look at the event pages first.  I scanned and saw at least one in each, but they're not great ones.

Donna and I have better ones we can e-mail.  Some may be posted on the first of each old series, perhaps.  Some random throughout.

PM us if you want us to e-mail you some.

I went kayaking with two girls before I discovered geocaching & here's a big guy/gal we saw:

(bigger than our kayaks...I don't know if you can judge size by this picture...)

Most of the good gator pics I took are on my FaceBook page. Just look under the kayaking album. They were mostly taken when we were putting the new caches out - fewer people, more gator sightings.  :D

CO REQUEST:  Please do not replace caches on the CLAPS Series.

So many are in new places, new styles, new sizes, new types, etc.  Some are far more challenging than they used to be.

As such, it's not like it used to be.  And not all are as obvious as they used to be.  I'd far rather do paddle maintenance to find it there than to have finders finding the wrong cache.

So - to avoid issues we're asking that you please do not replace caches on the series going forward.

Thanks.

So you're saying to not replace the caches if we can't find them after 30 seconds.  :stirpot:

I found it all on my own....and took away the second throwdown.  Of course, my weak one arm couldn't open the slimey container very well, so I needed assistance on that part.

despite my shower with lots of loofah scrubbing, there was STILL some slime dirt left on my arm. it's some very stubborn bayou goo.
