We had a good time at the event, but we were bracketed by other things that we had to do...so, I'm curious. Who one the various events?

Thanks to all who organized the event--and what will be next year's name?

Next Year's name will be the Lone Star Roundup.

For the Geo-Trivia game, we had two rounds, which resulted in a Jr and a Sr Winner. Chad/TAZ247 won the Sr category, in the second game, and Alex from Team Mad Dog won the Jr category (first game). Dru from Dangerman and 3Olives baked a Milky Way cake that won in a Bake-off category. Rich from Rich&Lola won....something...a subsection of the chili cookoff?

Thanks for the update!

Rich & Lola won the cache container contest with the space shuttle cache launcher. They deserved it.

OK, so here how it went.

Instead of renting an RV and going on an angered trip to Baytown to knock HC's truck on its side :wwf: , I decided to rent an RV from Brenham and have it delivered for me.

It was nice, could sleep about 75 people!! LOL!! It was pricey, probably will never do it again..ever. But it gave me the freedom to leave the event and go look for caches. No problems with the RV, first experience in one. Enjoyed the calls of the wild at night..or was that North Texas? LOL!!

I thought there were gonna be more people camping and hanging out near the event, but that did not happen. I could have rented a hotel, but choose to give the kiddos the RV experience of a lifetime. Note to self..do not give the kids the experience of a life time in an RV....

Other than that, HC will live to drive his truck down the road and I will probably rent a hotel room for the next *Lone Star Event*

Ta da......

I put my truck in storage and flew to Ohio for the weekend. Better safe than sorry!
