I need to go do that cache.
Yes. Everyone does.
Here's the full story. It was cut on our news. Kirbydox & Lola are in the full story. Rich says 91. The news says 90. I'll believe Rich over the media.
Okay, here's a link to the video: http://www.kfvs12.co...xaciNg.facebook

They mentioned that you need to call ahead if you want the tour.
Barney's number is listed on the cache page.

We visited with Barney this past June and we spent a couple of hours with him. I asked him if he has had anyone document his collection and he said that someone started, but it is no where near complete. He had fallen and had a but on top of his head the day we visited. This is a must do if you are in San Antonio.
When I was there, I asked if an art historian had cataloged his collection. He said, no. That was a year and a half ago.
I'm glad to see someone started work on his collection. It sounds like his family isn't very interested. Someone needs to save his collection with the aid of a real museum when he passes. It would be a shame to see all that unique history lost.

Right now there's no tellin' when I'll get back there and no funds to print it all up. I'd be happy to donate a binder. I have a few big D-ring binders. They pitch 'em at work regularly since we are going mostly paperless.
He would be tickled to be able to read them all.

We called when we got to the outskirts of San Antonio and Barney said, "Come on over at 11 'cause I have a news crew coming to interview me." How lucky were we? We arrived before the reporter and cameraman did and Rich helped Barney open up the doors and set up stuff. When the reporter asked who our representative was for an on-camera interview, both Lola and I picked Rich. He's still grumbling about that.
The museum is fascinating. Little slices of history displayed on toilet seats and Barney's organization is incredible. Everything is numbered and cross-referenced and he's knows exactly where it is. There was so much to see and I know I missed a lot because we were trying to stay out of the way while they were filming Barney. He made sure we found the Geocaching seats and signed his visitors log though!
GO SEE IT NOW or you'll be kicking yourself later.

I recorded it, but the story wasn't on.
They are running the story on Houston Channel 11 at 6 this evening. Someone record it so I can put it on my phone.
Did you see my name and my geocoin there on seat #3?
