I can't get a couple of things to work on BadgeGen.

It's doesn't pick up my hides.

It doesn't pick up my favorites.

Any suggestions?

For hides run a filter on owners name.

Other I don't know. Only think I can suggest is to make sure you are running the latest version.

You have to have a database of you hides for it to access, as well as the database for you finds. Then use the Geocaching.com access tab to refresh cache data to download favorite points on your caches.

At least that's how I think you do it...

I have a database of my hides. Does it have to have a special name? Mine is named My Caches.

On a slightly different subject, I've been using the GenUploadStats macro to run the BadgeGenBETA and then the FindStatsGen44Beta macros and automatically upload the results to my profile page.  It's worked before, but now the results of the BadgeGen macro no longer get pulled into the BadgeGen results and posted.  It appears that it's working OK, but my profile page continues to display the previous badges.  Any smart people out there have any idea what might be going wrong or where I should check first?

HC have a careful look at the fsg macro page on GSAK.net There's been some shuffling and I think you need to move off beta. You may want to remove and reinstall BG and fsg to current which will flush baggage and get u whole again.

I might need to do same. There is a very big hole in the beta process where if you ain't following in the forums then you get stuck with the last beta forever until a thread like this comes along and sets you right again.

Thanks, Kenny, I did just that.  Took me a while to get it all synced again, since my GenUploadStats macro was still pointing to the wrong macro and I couldn't remember how to get the options page to pop up when the macro starts! (hold down Ctrl when you start the macro).  I lost a few custom tweaks I had on the beta version, but that's OK.

you shouldn't have. The beta version of FSG and shipping version all *supposedly* use the same settings file. So new version should have the same tweaks.

I do remember having to edit a BadgeGen or Genupload macro to point to the correct FSG macro to run.

OK, upon further review, my GenUploadStats still isn't right.  I followed this tutorial to get it set up, but although it creates the badges properly, they aren't getting pulled into the notes section of the FindStatsGen macro.  My profile still is displaying the badges from 1000 finds ago... :tickedoff:

HC I would run badge gen manually. (Decouple each from auto calling each other temporarily) After BG is done then I'd run FSG manually. If the results are good ( should be) then manually paste into your profile page online. Hopefully it now looks good too. You probably recall that FSG auto copies to your clipboard when it completes. Once you've got each piece doing its thing correctly, then you can reconnect GenUploadStats. BadgeGen actually runs through your DB(s) to create your badges and populates data that later gets scooped up by FSG when it does its thing w DB(s). If badges are wrong it means FSG is getting bad or old data, usually.

how do you get to see your notes from your GPS in GSAK?  and shouldn't it be able to show you the order you made your finds?  i'm playing with my new Oregon 450 today and trying to log my finds... I remember some of the order, but not all.  and I dropped TBs in caches today and wrote notes, but not I can't see the notes.  suggestions?

upload Field notes on GC.com from your Oregon, not GSAK, GE.

You can also upload them to GSAK, then use it to auto-publish your logs.  Helpful if you've done a big series and don't want to write individual logs for each cache.  Kirbydox was MY mentor on that function.

Uploading to GSAK is great if you know how to use it for that.  It makes doing more than a few a real snap.

There is a box to uncheck or it will delete it off your Oregon.  I upload to gc.com as a backup then import to GSAK, in case I screw something up, as I'm prone to do.
