I know, I know, different strokes for different folks.  However, this just seems to me they should title it "future retired cache type."  I can see how they could pull it off, but I think they will have to restrict it and put A LOT of rules on it.

I'm reserving judgement, too.  If you don't want to do it, don't.  The same thing goes for all types of caches.  Variety is the spice of life.  Maybe there will be a new type of Challenge (sponsored by McBurger) to take a picture of you eating a Double Cheese Cardiac Arrest with Bacon sandwich (holding your GPSr, of course).

And a second smiley if you are holding your GPSr while riding in an ambulance after having a heart attack!! :)

You've already gotten your smiley (or frowny) for that one, so I'd advise skipping that one.

No way that would get approved.. it would limit future profits for GroundSpeak.... Unless they are in the will.

Well -- stats for challenges are out on logs and on your profile, and the logs on cache pages bring in the finder's avatar if they have one and it's kinda rearranged.  Found has turned into found/completed.  Interesting view to get used to.

Now -- who is publishing a challenge?

Now the key question is did the makeover completely screw up C:geo?

Just read the replies to the announcement on facebook.  Unless they can get people to change their mind these will not be around very long.

Do you have a GC code on it?  I cannot find it or are you still waiting on Prime Reviewers blessing?

They honestly are posting these with no supervision?  This is going to get ugly, REALLY FAST!!!  I am tempted to go do this one, just so that I can say I have a challenge cache before these get closed down.  I don't see these lasting long.

FYI: these challenges are editable for 24 hours after publishing or UNTIL someone accepts it.  :knuppel2:

OK, so I accepted this one just to keep it from changing.  Is there a way to search for these?

It also appears like these don't show up on the iPhone GC app.

There is supposed to be a new geocaching challenge app for these released today.

It is just called Challenges and is by Groundspeak, Inc.

Cool, I can post a picture of myself kissing a plastic frog and get credit for a find in Canada.  All without getting my butt out of my chair.  This is going to make the Texas county challenge EASY!!! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
