RAVEN is "it".

Does he watch the forums?

If not, TDW should let him know.

As we cruised at Warp 4.5, I sat alone in Ten Forward, slowly eating my BBQ sandwich.

Without warning, the intruder alert alarm sounded and I looked up to find myself surrounded by a group of evil looking cachers.

“We are HGCS.  You will be assimilated.  Resistance is futile.  It is time for you to hide the HELP I’M BEING HUNTED TRAVEL BUG.  It is time for you to select the cacher who will be known as “IT”.

As I swallowed a now tasteless piece of brisket, it was all I could to nod my head up and down.

“The collective”, he said, stiffly waving his arm at the other members of his troop, “wants you to pick the one selected by us.”  He then handed me a folded piece of paper a tricorder.

Bravely, washing down the sandwich with a sip of Dr. Pepper, I read the name.  I glanced over at the intended victim who clearly had no idea that he had been chosen for destruction rather than assimilation.

Returning my gaze to the deranged spokesperson and said, “I have never even met the guy.  Why would I want to do that?”

The response came out slowly, with a tone that was void of emotion.  “Because he lurks on the forums.  Because he thinks he is special.  Because at lunch today, even though you weren‘t there, the name TDW was tossed around …. A lot!”

Then there was a bizarre sensation as the HGCS proceeded to assimilate me.  I can best describe it as the feeling you have when a bunch of friends buy you a beer.

Within moments, I ceased being known as “Texas Dreamweaver”  and was now just simply “Seven of Five”.    As the newest member of the collective, I must do as the hive directs.

“We are HGCS.  Resistance is futile.  I have placed the travel bug in an inconvenient location.” I spoke without any conscious will or desire.  I simply obeyed the collective’s commands.  “One of Five, open a hailing frequency.”

“I send a message to the members of the GeoCaching Federation.  We are HGCS.  Resistance is futile.  You will be assimilated one by one.  RAVEN is next.

RAVEN, the travel bug is hidden here.

Of course, if anyone else from the HGCS / Borg cachers is willing to mess with your head ... it won't be there when you finally make the long drive.  >:D >:D >:D >:D

So that book, "Increase Your Word Power" is working out good for you isn't it?
:2funny: :2funny:

This reply should be in the 'Hillbilly Condo' thread.  The "Increase Your Word Power" is working out well for her.
Perhaps you might investigate "Increase Your Grammar Power".  No wait, that would go in the 'Hillbilly condo' thread, too.
