Need a pair of climbing cleats / spikes. I would try to shinny up it but you guys would die of laughter and I would have that on my conscience. Just couldn't bear it.

I've been thinking about this one.  I say we do an event and tackle it as a team.  I'll host it if one brave soul will make the climb.

Doesn't each brave soul need to make the climb to claim the find?  :)

Is it really any different than someone going after a puzzle cache that they haven't solved themselves?   :stirpot:   Just messing with you.

Yes, it's totally different, because Bert would never do that. :-)

I love the way folks always speak for me.  It keeps me from sticking my foot in my mouth.  :uglystupid2:

I'm in, but Sparky and I were thinking of bringing a ladder. Would that work do you think? It's a lightweight one so might not be too much of a pain to carry out there. If not, we're going to have to schedule this run with enough time for me to lose about 30 lbs. Say... 2015? ;-)

All we need is a decent ladder and a vehicle that can drive to GZ.

I'll install a base on the bottom of a 24' Werner extension ladder and bring some self drilling screws so we can anchor it to the roof of Bert's Jeep. I'm sure he won't mind, do you HC??? I mean heck, he's already said he wants to get the cache...

LOL Whatever it takes to get the cache!

I was considering making my own ladder with some 2x4 scraps and some nails, since I don't have any climbing equipment. :coolsmiley:

Great, though I have a portable tig welder that would probably work better.

"Dont need no stinking ladder"

A Jeep, A winch, problem solved!. Throw the winch line over the top of the pole, winch jeep and occupants up in style, roll down window, put beverage in swiveling cup holder (factory option in Jeeps), sign log, snap selfie, winch back down, drive away to next cache. Just another day in the life of a Jeep owner.
