Thank you all so much for hiding em for me to find, teaching me how to find em, and for making the greater Houston Metroplex and So east TX, one awesome place to be for geocaching. This is indeed a special group and a special place. A very special shout out to my BFF 2katz for putting up with me for all but a few of the last 1600 or so. I recall bumping into Arlene and David (Davarle) in the woods at Burroughs Park as a newbie. When they told me they had more than 3000 finds I thought they were absolutely certifiable. My how things change ;) Cache on! Have fun doing it!

It feels like just yesterday that we met keyresults out in the park finding caches with his Iphone. I'm so glad you came to that next Park and Grab, and are a part of our geocaching community.  Congratulations on 3000.

They grow up so fast, don't they?

several milestones were hit today between the tool belt check and special tools group find.  cachestacker reached 6,500 finds overall, mustard devil had his 800th for the year, dhaulaghiri reached 1,500, powerdog02 reached 200 and I reached 300!

Those are milestones?  I don't mean to sound like a downer here, but none of those are "official" milestones.     100, 500, 1000, 2000, etc are milestones.  Am I wrong here?  If so, I apologize.  It is, after all, just a game.  :smitten: I hit 1500 for 2013 today and that ain't a milestone, except to me.

the 200 and 300 are official groundspeak milestones.  and for being immobilized for a month this summer and not caching the way I wanted to, yes.  it is.  I won't post again until I hit 500 or 1000.

Hey BB, if you check your groundspeak milestones at geocaching.com, your milestones are 1, 5,10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 2000, and 3000 with your next milestone at 4000.  So 200 and 300 are official milestones.

I also think if someone wants to brag about hitting a particular number, more power to them. :fist-pump:

Personally, I feel like there should be some milestones between 1000 and 2000 (since it is going to take us quite some time to hit 2000), but we'll keep plugging along. :stirpot:

I really like hearing what is important to people about what they think is their milestone.  Here that is.  You guys are my friends.

What I don't like is on the Podcast of a famous caching podcast where dweebs call in with their 3300th cache as some major milestone worthy of proclamation to the nation.  And while I consider myself a geek, I don't like geeks (well, nerds really) that call in their primeth prime number (109 is the 29th prime number) as a milestone or Log(e) sq rt negative 1 as a milestone.
