What got you interested in caching?
PlusOne: My husband got in Geocaching back in late 2002 by watching a TV show featuring Letterboxing and Geocaching. Later, he went an event down near Webster and saw what was going on. He talked so much about the event, we started looking for a GPS. From then on, you see what he has become.

How did you decide on your caching name?
PlusOne: Nealon was wondering would be a good name for him, I came up with PARKERPLUS which is his last name and to include his wife as his partner I added PLUS. Later, he came up with PLUSONE for me.

When you cache, what equipment do you use? (PDA, Garmin, Magellan, software)
PlusOne: For me, I don’t have a GPS, I just use his GPS which is a Magellan Sports Trak which we used for many years until we lost it. Then we got a Garmin 60CXs.

What got you interested in caching?
Georeyna: A neighbor of mine, The Popeteers, got me interested in caching. It took her a couple of months, but after she lent me her Garmin and took me to some of her caches, the rest is history. I was hooked. She had to even remind me a couple of times to get an account, log my finds!! I experienced a whole new world, geocaching, and I knew I was hooked.

How did you decide on your caching name?
Georeyna: My caching name was decided by me. I wanted to include my whole family, so I came up with the name Georeyna. Will that worked for about a year and a few family members have fallen to the way side, so at the moment the name represents me, and at times family when they know a great event is on its way (like the Spring Fling), fun caches for kids, or a daytrip, then the rest of the family is involved, but the name is representative of me about 99.9% of time.

What got you interested in caching?
Latitude_Attitude: Twitter….. Well actually I was following someone in twitter that I met at a local conference. We both are involved in educational technology and one of his tweets was about him finding a geocache with his iPhone. I didn’t have an iPhone at the time but it really looked cool. (I didn’t know about GPSr’s and geocaching at the time.) In December last year I finally purchased an iPhone and the geocaching app was one of the first things I downloaded. I did my first search and I was amazed! There were caches all over the place! I had mistakenly thought that there was just a handful in the Houston area and that they were all out in the woods or fields. I scouted out one geocache and took my sons out the next day and we ended up finding three that first day! (no DNF’s) The first cache we found was a Houston Control cache. Shortly after that Houston Control emailed me and offered to help me with any questions that I might have. I have taken him up on that offer several times.
